Met Gala Monday night marked one of the biggest fashion nights in the world. Stars showcased their most iconic looks at the annual Met Gala in New York City. This year’s theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the first since 2003 to focus exclusively on menswear.
It was inspired by a recently unveiled exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, dedicated to the “Black Dandy,” which, according to Vogue, “examines the importance of dress and style in shaping Black identities within the Atlantic diaspora.” Celebrities such as Zendaya, Demi Moore, and Diana Ross brought their own interpretations to the theme, showcasing tailored suits and spectacular gowns.
