Beverly Hills cops haven’t gotten this many chuckles since Eddie Murphy — the department is being mocked for publishing a video of officers apprehending a suspected theft… of one cup of Starbucks coffee.
The story goes like this: On Thursday, the official Instagram page for Bev Hills PD shared a video in which people inside a Starbucks say cops hurried
to collect stolen goods, which were likely worth $5 or $6.
In the comments, “hot pursuit” puns abound, as do jokes about coffee and donuts.Customers inside the Starbucks appear to be pleased with the officers, who they claim took only a few minutes to track down the man who allegedly stole a woman’s drink — but that emotion does not appear to be echoed online.
The cops don’t appear to be taking themselves too seriously, as evidenced by their use of a fun description and hashtags in their repost… “At Starbucks, a cop apprehends Coffee Caper. #NoCallTooSmall #answerthecall #joinbhpd #starbucks #coffee #brew #grande #drip #latte #espresso #bean #starbucks #coffee #brew #grande #drip #latte #espresso #bean”
To summarize, coffee thieves should avoid the Bev Hills Police Department. Oh, and the banana in the tailpipe isn’t going to fool them either!!!
