His friend, photographer Paolo Roversi, who recently produced Kate Middleton’s three new official 40th birthday portraits, said of him: “Nino is the cheetah. He is like Prince Salina from the Lampedusa novel and the Visconti film, this aristocrat who sees his universe disappear before him.
