Britney Spears and Sam Asghari issued a joint statement on Instagram confirming the loss of their first child, just one month after announcing their pregnancy.

One month after Britney announced they were expecting their first child together, the couple confirmed on Instagram that they had lost their baby “early in the pregnancy.”
“It is with great sadness that we must announce the loss of our miracle baby early in the pregnancy,” Britney and Sam wrote on May 14. “This is a difficult time for any parent.”
The couple conceded that they “should’ve just waited to announce until we were further along in our pregnancy journey.”
At the moment, they stated clearly that they were “extremely happy to share the good news” with the rest of the world.
Britney and Sam also revealed that they are relying on each other for support during this difficult time, writing, “Our love for each other is our strength.”
“We will have a miracle soon [love emoji],” Sam said after the couple posted their announcement on Instagram.
He wasn’t alone, though. Andy Cohen, Gabrielle Union, and Christina Perri, who commented, “So sad,” were among the celebrities who expressed their love and support for Sam in the comments.
In an April 11 Instagram post, Britney revealed that she and her fiancé are expecting their first child together. Britney admitted that she had gained weight following the couple’s trip to Maui. She commented, “So I got a pregnancy test… and uhhhhhhh well.” “I’m expecting.” Sam told the BBC the day following their pregnancy announcement that he thought the couple should’ve reached the key relationship milestone a lot sooner.
“To be honest with you, this should have happened three years ago,” Sam told the newspaper. “You want to re-create when you’re in a relationship with someone you actually love, and this is something I want to do.”
Britney expressed similar sentiments last June during her legal struggle to remove her 13-year conservatorship, revealing that she had an IUD “inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant.”
